I'm planning on sticking to roughly an 8-min mile pace.
To train, I'm increasing my strength training routine and doing some hill sprints. I'm actually thinking of getting new running shoes...I've practically blown out the toe of my right shoe! (Just like my Uncle!)

This will be my first "trail" race. Well, besides running Lower Woodland/Lincoln Park in HS X-Country. AND, since it's on my birthday, I'm just going to have fun with it. ;)
